One of Alex's pivotal moments was switching his major from law to Media Computer Science, igniting his passion for technology and film. This led him to study Technical Directing at the renowned Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg in Germany.
Over the years, Alex has contributed to blockbusters such as Avatar: The Way of Water, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Monsters at Work, and The Amazing World of Gumball, working with top-tier studios like WetaFX, Framestore, and Mackevision.
In 2023, Alex's work on Avatar: The Way of Water earned an Oscar for "Best Visual Effects". Previously, his work on the Open Source Pipeline "Plex" for the short film Breaking Point won the VES Award in 2017.
Beyond his industry work, Alex has taught at prestigious institutions like ArtFx and CG Master Academy. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and experience with artists and technical professionals worldwide through masterclasses and coaching. His mission is to create opportunities for others, guiding them from internships at small companies to supervisory roles in the biggest production studios.
